Charges for the taxis were brought back in this week, while mooring fees in Braye Harbour will once again cost £20 per night from 10 August.

The free services, which have been in place for nearly two months following the lifting of lockdown restrictions, have brought in an increased number of yachts from fellow Bailiwick islands. But, Alderney’s Policy & Finance Committee has decided the time is right to bring the incentives to an end.
The island’s States recently brought over a team of UK specialists, who had been given an exemption to travel to the Bailiwick, to carry out an inspection on Braye Harbour’s moorings.
Once the professional dive team had completed their survey and maintenance process, local boats were able to return to the moorings.
