Starting on Saturday, the team at Alderney’s radio station played back-to-back hits and held a raffle to fundraise for Alderney Cancer Relief.

A spokesperson for the station said: “A huge thank you to everyone who bought a number and to the DJs and backroom staff who made the event such a success.”

The raffle prizes included a £250 Aurigny voucher, donated by the airline, a 6-litre hamper of gin, vodka, and whiskey donated by Alderney Opticians, and a £100 PJ’s Cafe voucher – courtesy of PJ’s.

The money raised through the raffle and the music marathon will support the work of Alderney Cancer Relief, which in turn supports patients and their families and carers.

The voluntary organisation is primarily available to offer financial assistance, including contributions towards travel costs and home comforts.
