The nomination period is now open for Alderney’s first election of the year.
Two vacant seats are up for grabs in the States of Alderney, with a by-election next month.
Nominations opened on Friday 14 February and close a week later.
The by-election itself will be held on 8 March at the Island Hall. It was triggered by the resignation of Nigel Vooght from the States of Alderney, and the Policy and Finance Committee in December last year.
The resignation of Bruce Woodhead shortly afterwards created the second vacancy.

Five people were elected to the States of Alderney for a four year term each in November.
That saw election newcomer Edward Hill top the polls with Iain MacFarlane claiming second place. Stuart Clarke was the third new States Member to be elected. Alex Snowdon and Kevin Gentle, were both re-elected to the States.
Mr Vooght resigned shortly after this election, and his position as Chair of Policy & Finance was maintained by Ian Carter until the end of the year when his term of office came to an end.
Mr Woodhead also resigned with effect 31 December, 2024.
That means for the start of this year, Alderney has been without two of its elected representatives, and as Alderney elects half of its States every two years, since January around a third of the island’s parliament have been newcomers.
There are plenty of key issues to address for the most northern of the Channel Islands in this political term.
They include the financial impact of Guernsey’s emergency budget, plans for the runway and airport, and public feedback on the pedestrianisation trial among other matters.
