Team Guernsey are all in Australia ahead of the Games where they have already attended an opening ceremony for the Athlete’s Village.

All of the competitors from our Bailiwick have been busy preparing with some having to acclimatise to warmer temperatures than they are used to competing in. One of Guernsey’s medal hopes, runner Cameron Chalmers, will feature in the 400m which he has been getting in some last minute training for.
Team Guernsey’s Flag Bearer for the Games is Matthew Guille. The shooter is a previous silver medalist, and he is also getting in some practice ahead of the main competition. He and others will be competing on flood lit ranges and grounds.
