The scheme helps provide financial assistance for school fees, and is designed to support families and ensure that talented students, regardless of finances, can attend the college’s Sixth Form.

Support is offered based on a sliding scale and can cover a portion of the College’s Sixth Form fees.

Principal of The Ladies’ College Daniele Harford-Fox said: “For me, this has particular resonance as I was able to attend a girls’ independent school from the ages of 14-18 because of a full bursary and scholarship.

“That support changed my life and my life chances, and I want to give that opportunity to as many girls on the island as we can.

“So, if you know a young woman who is a natural change maker, who is creative or technologically innovative, or who has the drive and interest to be a business leader or science pioneer, then please do encourage them to apply.”
