The land where the Half Moon Café and Octopus restaurant used to stand is up for sale.
Watts Property Consultants has listed the site which used to be the home of the popular historic eateries with a price available only upon enquiry.
The company has described the plot as an “exceptionally rare” opportunity, for a “landmark development”.
The ‘half moon’ site at La Vallette was sold last August for £1, just 18 months after a fire destroyed the restaurant Octopus which had been there.
The land had been owned by former Deputy Yvonne Burford’s family, but it was confirmed that it was sold to the owners of the restaurant after the burned out building had been razed to the ground.
Before that, the site had sold for £200,000 in June 2021, for £1 in February 2020, for £1 in 1999, and for £350,000 in 1996.

Watts has described the site as “oven ready” and points to it’s “strong and proven track record as an outstanding venue” as a reason to tempt potential buyers.
You can find out more about the site and its details on the Watts website.
