On arrival outside the Tourist Information Centre the parade will halt facing seaward.
Members of the public will be able to watch the commemorations from the seaward side of the road on the pavement.
Just after 10:00 His Excellency The Lieutenant Governor and his party will arrive at the south end of the parade and meet the Bailiff’s party. Following the national anthem His Excellency will inspect the parade before it marches off toward Church Square. After re-assembling in the square the parade will head up the High Street and Smith Street and will be dismissed outside Moore’s Hotel.

This will be followed by the Liberation Church Service at the Town Church, beginning at 11:00. Doors to the church will open at 10:00 and seats will be available on a ‘first come first served’ basis. The service will be broadcast to the public in the Homefront Marquee on the Albert Pier.
Elsewhere, the Cobo and Castel Churches will be conducting a short service on the Cobo slipway once again this year. Starting at 10:00, the special service will include prayers, a hymn and a chorus of ‘Sarnia Cherie’ followed by tea and cake at the Cobo Community Centre from 10:30.

St Peter’s Church is holding a People’s Service this morning at 11:00 which will be followed by a community lunch at Styx from 12:30. Parking is available in Les Brehaut Playing Fields but those with mobility difficulties can be dropped off at the top of the church.
