Parade Commander Tim Slann led a contingent of local and visiting military personnel on the 80th anniversary of Guernsey’s Liberation Day.
The parade was inspected by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, before the participants marched from the former Information Centre on the North Esplanade, to the Slaughterhouse and back to the Town Church.

There were ripples of applause as the parade started moving southerly along the Town Quay.
The parade was led by the Royal Marines Band of Scotland based at Rosyth.
The applause grew rapturous as veterans, including a group of Chelsea Pensioners, moved with the group along the Quay and Albany.
