While the potential future of Beau Sejour is being discussed, Express decided to take a look into the past to find out what your favourite memories of Guernsey’s leisure centre were.
Were you there on the opening day? Do you remember the Astroglide? Or even paying to get in?
The old cafe, monster island, crazy golf it was a place you could spend the day at as kids.

Shane Harley remembered: “The flumes, boats in the pond, roller skating, the arcade, the pool table and games machines up top.”
But the glory days of yesteryear were “all messed up by the idiots in past governments”, he added.
“Now I’m older my kids would love [stuff like the monster island and crazy golf] – I’d love to bring that for kids,” another islander said.
“I remember the bumper cars, and also Monday club and dungeon disco, that was the good old days,” Lisa Carre said.
Meanwhile, Nikki Wheetman said: “Paying for entry, swimming, we did the swimarathon there about 45 years ago!”
The ‘Hot Chocolate’ concert, ‘Status Quo’ and the theatre, all sorts of great memories.

Debbie Dorey recalled spending “hours there in the 80’s and 90’s playing squash and then having a drink in the bar upstairs”.
Even people who grew up in Guernsey, but left the island joined in with their reminiscences.
46-year-old Dan Tapscott, who was visiting last week, said: “I am writing this while my kids are swimming on the Beaus Crash, they love the place and we always call in when we visit.
“I heard this week about the financial difficulty and some saying it should be flattened and rebuilt, that would be a travesty.
“Locals in Guernsey don’t know they have it so good, plenty of life left in Beausie yet and I can see bags of opportunity and potential with the existing site.”
