From Monday 15 March, traffic wardens will begin enforcing parking restrictions in disc zones where the limit is up to (and including) two hours.
Since lockdown hit in January, there have been no restrictions on the time people have been able to park, as long as they have parked legally.
However, with shops now re-opening and the compete lifting of community restrictions on the horizon, lockdown parking privileges are coming to an end.
“Enforcement in all other disc zones won’t begin until we enter Stage 3 of the exit from lockdown, but we’re making this change for short-term parking from the 15 March to help free up short-term parking,” said a spokesman for Bailiwick Law Enforcement.
“This will, in turn, support Town retailers and the Town business community as more and more shops are able to re-open.
“Therefore, if you live or work in Town, we’d recommend you begin make use of long term parking spaces again.”
