Seven years later it’s on the drawing board being worked up after funding for initial work was secured.
“Seed funding has been granted to explore options for co-locating services which support children and their families,” a Health & Social Care spokesperson said.
“One option being considered is using areas of the Raymond Falla House site to be repurposed to accommodate this ambition.
“A wide range of stakeholders will be engaged, to design the future service delivery as well as the physical premises. On completion of this work a business case will be submitted to the States Assembly for further consideration.”
They said that the hub would deliver significant benefits, including:
- Improved outcomes for children and their families, through enhanced access to and co-ordination of services
- Improved working environments for staff, supporting recruitment and retention
- Ability to exit and return buildings to States Property Unit for sale or repurposing
“The project is in the initiation stage, so is too early to provide timescales.”
No major decisions on the project will be taken until the next States term as it’s currently a pipeline project
Once delivered, parents and guardians will be able to access multiple services in a single visit.
The project would free up Lukis House and Le Carrefour in the Grange, Swissville in the Rohais, and Perruque House in Rue De La Perruque if it went ahead.
