Art from Guernsey will be taking flight this Spring to London City Airport!  

Aurigny, in collaboration with London City Airport and Guernsey Arts, is offering the Guernsey Arts community a chance to honour the island’s wartime history while promoting Guernsey as a 2025 travel destination. 

To mark the 80th anniversary of the islands’ Liberation, local artists are invited to submit their work through an open-call competition.

All artworks submitted will be featured in a digital showcase on arts.gg, with a selection also featuring on social media channels, while the winners’ work will be displayed in a special pop-up gallery exhibition in London City Airport’s departure lounge.

Head of Marketing, PR and Comms at Aurigny, Sam Talbot, said: “We’re delighted to be working with our partners at London City Airport and our arts community to highlight Guernsey as the place to be in 2025, along with ease of access from the city of London.”

We look forward to seeing the work submitted and to celebrating the talent of our arts community through this exciting initiative”  

Submission Details: 

  • Artists must be aged 18 and over 
  • Artwork can be of any style but must be photographed in high resolution to make it digitally replicable.  
  • Both new and previously exhibited pieces are welcome. 
  • Artists may submit multiple works, but each submission must be on a separate form. 
  • Applications will close on 18 February 2025 

Winning artists will receive a £200 cash prize for their work’s physical reproduction and two return flight tickets to London City Airport, thanks to London City Airport and Aurigny.
