The premises has previously acted as both a warehouse and collection point for the company’s stock, and a local shopfront for both the business and QI Finance.

QuidsIn offers daily deals online, ranging from hotel nights to family meal vouchers to a full car wash and valet, across Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and some of the UK. It also sells value products, which previously would have been purchased online and collected from the shop front in Town.

Now, physical products will only be stored and stocked in Jersey, although QuidsIn Director, Francesca Rotheram, assured “this has absolutely no effect on customers whatsoever”, who will still be able to purchase anything on offer.

Our Guernsey warehouse/collection point has closed and any overstock has been moved to Jersey to centralise the distribution centre which furnishes all of our locations of operation. This decision was made as our lease expired in Guernsey and the timing fitted in with our medium-term logistics plan for the next five years,” she said.

Ms Rotheram clarified that the store-front in Guernsey was “a collection point only” and not a retail shop or anything to do with the sales or deals it provides. Only one member of staff, who was on a temporary contract, lost their job.

“[There will be] no changes to QuidsIn, or Quidsin Guernsey, Daily Deal and no effect on vouchers etcetera, we have simply moved our stocking room to our Jersey stocking room.

“All QuidsIn sales are dealt with in Jersey, and have been for many years. This has absolutely no effect on customers whatsoever. QuidsIn Guernsey is still very much operating and will be for many, many more years to come.”

Now, if any products are purchased through QuidsIn, they will be sent from the Jersey centre to the customer.

Additionally, QI Finance’s offerings are still available in Guernsey online at qifinance.com, as they have always been.
