Rabeys has historically offered vehicles and fleet maintenance services to the States of Guernsey, but the 40-year-old company recently begun liquidation following the collapse of its parent company, the Garenne Construction Group.

A spokesperson for the States said “there are therefore no significant immediate impacts” to the maintenance and supply of its fleet of vehicles.

“The States of Guernsey, including States Works, has contingencies in place as part of its business continuity planning, including the prioritisation of maintenance of fleet vehicles.  It is currently managing any impacts in line with those plans,” they said.

The States is also engaging with industry and from the feedback received so far, businesses advise that they have their own appropriate contingencies in place.

However, while there are therefore no significant immediate impacts, the States continues to speak with industry and monitor developments.”
