Initially, Steve Le Poidevin, the owner of Balthazar asked for some to brighten the windows of his restaurant on the town Quay, which like others had to close ahead of the official lockdown being imposed.
He had said the rainbows would brighten the way for anyone taking their daily walks in town.
Daily walks across the entire island have been brightened up by rainbows though, with colourful pictures appearing in houses everywhere.
They’ve included crayon drawings, paintings, collages, displays with pebbles and flowers and other imaginative ways of ‘sharing the rainbow’.
For those still working on the frontline, the rainbows have been a pleasant distraction and have succeeded in brightening up the day.

If you’re wanting some exercise, two young sisters have used their rainbow coloured crayons to create a hopscotch outside their house.
We won’t give the exact location away, but anyone walking through this St Peter Port street will be able to have a go on Freya and Isla’s creation.
