“The purpose of this ride is to acknowledge the great work that has been carried out by frontline and essential staff to fight the impact of covid-19 in the Bailiwick,” said Emergency Department Doctor, Nemer Kharroubi, who has coordinated the ride.

“We will arrive at the PEH at around 11:30 where we will perform a symbolic two minute clap for these essential staff, in gratitude for all they have done for the Bailiwick in the past few months.”
Guernsey Police will escort the bikers along the way, and the Ambulance and Fire & Rescue Services have also been invited to attend.
Politicians and senior staff from the States of Guernsey, who have played a big part in managing the islands’ response, will also be present at the hospital to greet the riders as they arrive.
