La Beltane Festival, the Dark Sky Island’s celebration of music, dance, and performance, is back once again.

Held on the island of Sark, and inspired by the traditional Beltane festival, the 2025 event kicks off on Saturday, 3 May, with live music from bands like the Cor Damme Lars, The Devil’s Cabana Boiz, and Pillars.

There’ll be an electronic set from DJ Kieran Higgs, a folk dance session (ceilidh) led by the Sarkey Malarkey Ceilidh Band (musicians from Jersey), and a musical performance by John Hinton’s Ensonglopedia.

There’ll also be a burning of a wickerman, which is a traditional part of the Beltane celebrations.

A spokesperson for the event – which is held in the grounds of La Seigneurie, said they were pleased to announce this year’s festival

“La Beltane Festival is back, bringing an exhilarating fusion of music, dance, and performance to Sark in a vibrant celebration of Beltane traditions.

“Set against the island’s stunning backdrop, this year’s festival promises an unforgettable experience, blending high-energy performances with the rich sounds of folk heritage.”
