It comes as the Sexual Assault Referral Centre edges closing to opening in the island after its development by the Home Affairs Committee.
The number for support is 01481 227700.
The helpline is staffed by trained Crisis Workers who are there to offer support to anyone who might need it. It can lead to future referrals into the SARC and is available to people who’ve experienced sexual assault recently or historically.
“As we enter the first week of the Sexual Assault Helpline we want to remind islanders of the support available. The helpline is available for everyone,” said the SARC Manager, Charlie Cox.
“Anyone can phone the helpline to find out more about the support and options available if they’ve experienced a sexual assault,” said Ms Cox.

“We know that it can be really difficult to talk about sexual assault and that it is hard to process what has happened to you,” continued Ms Cox.
“The public can speak to a trained member of the team whether their experience was recent or a long time ago. There is no pressure to do anything following the call and our team will be guided by what is best for the person calling.
“We would like to encourage anyone to call and to be reassured that they only need to share information they want with us.”
The SARC centre will begin its forensic examination service on 1 January 2024.
