The Social Investment Fund (SIF) has opened the second round of its small grants Programme for 2025, offering funding to charities and non-profit organisations in the Bailiwick.
Grants are of up to £15,000 for one-off projects, capital expenses, or running costs of up to a year.
Since 2021, the programme has awarded 118 grants totalling over £1.2 million, with £147,829 of that being awarded to 15 charities earlier this year.
Those included grants for Guernsey Arthritis Care, Choices, and the Guernsey Street Festival, as well as organisations in Sark and Alderney.
Earlier this year, SIF announced that a total amount of £300,000 will be given out this year, an increase of 52% on 2024.
This round will focus on applications related to sports, arts, and culture, and is available for registered charities and non-profit organisations in the Bailiwick.
It’s the first time they’ve decided to narrow down the types of applications available for funding, with the Chair of the SIF, The Very Reverend, Tim Barker, saying “these sectors all play an important part in supporting both the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our local community. We particularly encourage applications from these fields.”

The SIF says that applications must support one of a number outcomes,
By improving the lives of people with specific needs, disadvantages or vulnerabilities. Through employment, education or training opportunities, or by protecting the island’s natural environment, culture and heritage.
They can also focus on improving health and wellbeing for the Bailiwick’s community, or by fostering an inclusive community, which challenges the barriers causing disadvantage or discrimination.
The closing date for applications is in a month’s time, at midday on Monday 13 October. Interested parties should contact SIF’s Grant Officer, Caroline Barby, by emailing caroline.barby2@gov.gg, or calling 01481 223613.
