A Spitfire will be based in Guernsey again this year with flights available for paying passengers in June and August.
The iconic aircraft is owned by Spitfires.com which has “hand-picked pilots” available to fly the one-on-one tours over the island.
For those who want to, there’s also the opportunity to take the controls and fly the legendary plane for a short time themselves.
“Following the success and the warmest of receptions we received during our previous visits, we are extremely excited about working with the Crown Dependency again to bring our iconic aircraft to this picturesque island that is steeped in so much history,” said a spokesperson for Spitfires.com.
The flights from Guernsey Airport are available to book on 5, 6, 7, and 8 June and 7, 8, and 9 August.
Flights will be conducted from the ASG hangar.
“We look forward to welcoming more guests than ever, to sharing these iconic aircraft with you and to creating lasting memories of the most iconic aircraft to grace our skies; the Supermarine Spitfire,” said Spitfires.com.
