A survey has been launched to seek public feedback on this year’s election and identify any areas for improvement.

The Registrar-General of Electors, Colette Falla, has announced the launch of a short survey, asking questions about various aspects of the public’s experience during the 2025 General Election.

It can be completed online HERE, or by obtaining a paper copy from Sir Charles Frossard House, Edward T Wheadon House and Douzaine Rooms. The survey will close on Tuesday 19 August.

Colette Falla, Registrar-General of Electors, said: “The 2025 General Election went smoothly but we are always trying to think of ways to improve the voter experience.”

Ms Falla continued: “To do this, we need to hear from the electorate and we would urge as many people as possible to complete the survey, which should take only around 5 minutes.”

A total of 19,686 people cast their ballots out of an electoral roll of 27,293, resulting in a voter turnout of 72%, 432,212 votes were cast across all candidates, with the average voter utilising 22 of their available 38 votes (58%).

2020’s general election saw a higher engagement with 24,626 voters from an electoral roll of 30,899, leading to a turnout of 79.7%. Five years ago a greater number of total votes were also cast at 637,567, and voters on average used more of their available votes, at 26 per person (68%).
