The States wants to “enhance the transparency and fairness” of Heath and Social Care’s complaints process.
HSC is searching for six to nine members of the public to join a new working group looking at the complaints process to improve “public confidence” in it.
The group, which will be chaired by HSC member Deputy Sally Rochester, would recommend “organisational learnings”, but will not comment on individual complaints.
A spokesperson said HSC was looking for people to bring a “diverse set of viewpoints” to the working group.
They encouraged applications from people with experience designing complaints systems, with “lived experience” of HSC complaints as a healthcare user or professional, and anyone with other relevant expertise.
Anyone wanting to apply should email HSCcommittee@gov.gg by 22 February, explaining the skills and experience they would bring.
