The Guernsey Street Festival is two weeks away.

The sixth annual festival will run for one week throughout town, including live music, theatre, dancing and storytelling.

Similar to last year the festival has been shortened to one week rather than its usual two weeks due to the lack of volunteers and reduced funding.

“Even though the festival is running a week shorter this year, we’re just as committed to putting on a meaningful event that champions local talent,” said Guernsey Street Festival Founder and Chair, Claire Dawson.

“A huge thank you to the sponsors who continue to keep the festival alive each year.”

She added that: “It’s been absolutely wonderful to witness the Market Square transform into the hub of life and vibrancy that it is now, and we’re excited to see how we can continue to operate in that space and provide entertainment to new audiences enjoying all the al fresco dining on offer.”
