The Joint Liquidators suing some of the former directors of what was RG Falla have said they remain willing to try and resolve matters.
Leonard Curtis is representing the creditors of Hurel Limited – which folded just over two years ago.
RG Falla was founded in 1956 and traded under that brand until it was renamed Hurel Ltd in April 2023, shortly before the business went into voluntary liquidation.
At the time, the business owed money to other companies with Leonard Curtis appointed to try and recoup some of their losses.
Now, the joint liquidators at Leonard Curtis have launched legal action against certain former directors of the construction business Hurel Limited.

Proceedings were launched in Guernsey’s Royal Court on Friday against Paul Mason, Michael Wagstaff, Dean Winsall, Julian Winser, Richard Lee, Ian Carre, Sarah-Jayne Brewin, Mark Palfrey, and Stuart Falla.
Mr Mason, Mr Wagstaff, Mr Winsall, Mr Winser, Mr Lee, Mr Carre, Mr Palfrey, and Ms Brewin are all understood to have been directors of Hurel Ltd when it was operating as RG Falla.
Mr Falla was known to many as the face of RG Falla – the company his father had founded – for decades. He had retired before the company experienced its financial troubles but Leonard Curtis has alleged he remained a ‘shadow director’ until the end.
Leonard Gerber from Leonard Curtis said that as the Joint Liquidators were unable to resolve matters, court proceedings have been launched to try and secure damages and compensation for perceived breaches of duties against the nine individuals listed above in their capacities as former directors of the company.
“Despite our best efforts to avoid it, litigation has been necessary,” he said.
“I want to make it clear that the door is still open for the directors of the Company and their insurer to come to sensibly engage.”
