A brand new showcase – starring 12 talented vocalists – will celebrate female voices of musical theatre history.
The Sound of Her Story is described as an “uplifting celebration of female empowerment”.
It will include a handpicked selection of songs exploring success, regret, and resilience, to take the audience on an emotional journey to highlight the strength and spirit of women.
“The idea is to embrace the female voice,” said Haley Camp, who is co-directing with Lee-Ann Hawkes. “There’s so much powerful music for women in musical theatre and we wanted to bring a group of talented women together to really celebrate those voices and themselves.”
Many of the singers taking centre stage have spent years honing their craft in choirs, and Hayley and Lee-Ann say this production will offer them the chance to step into the spotlight.

The show will span musical theatre history with beloved classics like Carousel and White Christmas, to more modern hits like Six, The Greatest Showman and Wicked.
Whether revisiting a cherished favourite or discovering a new anthem, every song in the setlist celebrates the unapologetic power of women in a world that doesn’t always expect it, said Lee-Ann.
“There’s going to be a lot of sparkle, a lot of colour and a lot of great, talented singers on stage.
“It’s a show for everybody – including children.”
