Many of the musicians and technicians involved had a personal and musical connection to Ged, who played in many local bands since the early 80’s.

Opening the show will be The War Poets featuring Jim Delbridge, Nick Windsor and Dave Foote. The trio will be joined by former Van Morrison sax player Martin Winning and London Grammar producer Tim Bran playing some of the songs from Jim’s new album The Navigator.
Topping the bill will be the debut performance of Harry Dean Jnr & The New Breed, formed by singer Chris Dean from the ashes of King Rat & the Soul Cats. Also featuring will be guitar legend Pete Frampton & Friends, jazz pianist Paul Tongs, The Silverados and the Hope Choir.
The host for the evening will be comedian and musician Dennis Burns.
Mr Delbridge said: “Ged had such an impact on the local music scene as a musician, promoter and a personality that everyone we asked wanted to do something to celebrate his life and his friendship with us.
“Guernsey Mind does such a great job in the islands and we all felt that it was fitting that this special event could raise money and make a contribution to the cause.”
The organisers would like to thank Centre Stage, Hamilton Brooke, Printed, Red Carnation Group and the Guernsey Arts Commission whose sponsorship has allowed this concert to go ahead and the proceeds to go to charity.
