All six incidents took place over the night of 27-28 July between Pitronnerie Industrial Estate and the junction of Les Amballes and Le Bouet.

Guernsey Police have identified a blue rucksack in connection with the burglaries, which was found containing items thought to be stolen from the properties.

“A spate of burglaries like this is not common in Guernsey, and to have this many on a single night in such a small area is extremely out of the ordinary,” said Detective Kieran Walsh. “I would stress the wider risk to the public is low.

“That being said, some of these burglaries would have been more unlikely to happen if the properties had been properly secured. So, I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of closing and locking windows and doors.

“If we all make it harder for a burglary to be committed, the chances of it happening and you being a victim are vastly reduced.”

The pair have been released on police bail as the investigation continues.

Guernsey Police are still appealing for witnesses and ask that anyone with information contact CID on 725111, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
