The States of Guernsey has published its unemployment report for August and it highlights a drop in unemployment by 20 people. This brings the total number of unemployed in the island to 397.

The news has been welcomed by the President of the Committee for Employment and Social Security, Deputy Peter Roffey.

β€œThe number of people unemployed has now fallen for six consecutive months, which is a great achievement, especially when we consider the situation as it was at the start of this year following the second lockdown,” he said.
