The news has been welcomed by the President of the Committee for Employment and Social Security, Deputy Peter Roffey.
βThe number of people unemployed has now fallen for six consecutive months, which is a great achievement, especially when we consider the situation as it was at the start of this year following the second lockdown,β he said.

Pictured: βUnemployment is now only 87 above the August 2019 levels which shows that we are edging ever closer to pre-Covid levels,β said Deputy Roffey.
ESS also recorded a drop in the number of people claiming financial support, by 32 down to 343.
