The event will take place at Les Cotils, St Peter Port, between 16:30 and 17:30 on the 12 March, with Medical Specialist Group Ophthalmology Consultant, Miss Sujata Rao, giving a presentation, following which questions will be invited from the audience.
Glaucoma is a condition of increased pressure within someone’s eyeball, and it causes the gradual loss of sight. It tends to be inherited and is not often detected until later in life.
It is advised that if you’re over age 40 and have a family history of the disease, you should get a complete eye exam from a doctor every one to two years.
The meeting is open to glaucoma patients, each of whom is welcome to bring one guest along with them.
