With some ‘low risk’ activities permitted again, Public Health is looking to reduce case numbers and squash any remaining community seeding, setting the island on the road to recovery after last month’s outbreak of Covid-19.
“This is excellent news,” said Civil Contingencies Authority Advisor Deputy Heidi Soulsby of the latest case numbers, which show zero positive tests and 15 recoveries.
“We may get some popping up in the coming days but this is really encouraging. Thank you to everyone for following the rules and getting us here.”

Another media briefing is scheduled to take place at 13:00 today, as the island begins to re-awaken from lockdown. Non-public facing businesses are now able to have up to ten outdoor staff or five indoor staff for work that cannot be completed remotely.
The Household Waste & Recycling Centre at Longue Hougue and the Chouet Green Waste site have also re-opened this week in line with social distancing measures and other Public Health guidelines.
