102 drivers have been breathalysed and seven of those have been arrested.
In addition, what the Police terms as ‘words of advice,’ were issued to 42 motorists, either about the condition of their vehicle, or their driving.
Jersey Police have issued a statement saying: “Drink driving is fast becoming socially unacceptable and the month-long campaign is aimed at reducing the numbers of deaths and injuries that can be caused on our roads by people who drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.”
The campaign forms part of the Let’s Look Out for Each Other campaign, which runs continuously, and focuses on safer road use for motorists and pedestrians.
