A 70-year-old woman has been accused of committing a grave and criminal assault.

Mary Patricia Woodward denied the charge when she appeared in the Royal Court.

The alleged assault was reported to have taken place at an address in St Helier on 11 October.

Ms Woodward is next due to appear in court on 8 January, ahead of a four-day jury trial starting on 20 July 2026.

Advocate Greg Herold-Howes appeared for the defence. Crown Advocate Emma Hollywood was prosecuting.
