The notices read: “With regret that we will be closed on Wednesdays and Fridays from approximately 10am to 12.30 due to stock deliveries until we have replacement staff as we are single manning. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.”
One passenger travelling last week told Express of her shock and disappointment upon seeing the closed store as they passed through the airport shortly before midday on Wednesday.

“It was surprising and actually quite sad to see one of the main airport shops closed like this. Although it wasn’t peak time, there were two Flybe flights for the UK with lots of tourists heading home,” she said.
“The shop closure and the signs are not really the sort of last impression you want visitors to leave Jersey with.”
