This weekend sees the return of an “aspiring nihilist” who explores why he decided to walk 650 miles alone across France in his one-man show at the Jersey Arts Centre.

Divine Creatures

Following the hit success of their inaugural event, LGBTQ+ club group, Divine Creatures, has announced another fabulous celebration later this month.

On Friday 28 March at The Lido, guests can dance and sing the night away to all their favourite musicals at the West End and Broadway themed ‘Sound of Musicals’.

Expect karaoke, live music, dazzling drag performances and fancy dress.

Doors open at 20:00, and those who arrive before 21:00 will receive a complimentary drink.

Jersey’s Gender Equity Conference 2025 takes place next week, and is aiming to champion inclusion and empowerment in various sectors.

On Wednesday 19 March at the Royal Yacht Hotel, an inspiring lineup of local and UK-based speakers will discuss and advocate for gender equity across key areas of work, health, and play.

Organised by women’s health awareness group Vitality 40 Plus, the event will offer the opportunity to participate in panel discussions and network with like-minded individuals.

Anyone passionate about gender equity is welcomed to attend.

Chrome Yellow

This weekend sees the return of “aspiring nihilist” Wayne Stewart, as he wrestles with meaning and purpose in the one man show ‘Chrome Yellow’.

In this personal and philosophical story, Wayne delves into themes of existentialism, personal reflection, and the search for purpose – exploring why he decided to walk 650 miles alone across France in 2021.

The production was developed as part of an artist residency at Jersey Arts Centre, supported by ArtHouse Jersey.

Songs of Liberation

Internationally acclaimed soprano Sophie Bevan MBE will take to St Helier Methodist Church next Wednesday 19 March in a special concert alongside pianist Sebastian Wybrew.

The concert ‘We’ll Gather Lilacs’ kicks off celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey and the Liberation International Music Festival in May 2025.

Organised in partnership with musical engagement charity Music in Action, the performance is perfect for all ages and musical tastes.

St Patrick’s family fun

St Patrick’s Day 2025 takes place on Monday 17 March – and the Jersey Irish Society has just the event for families to celebrate with some cultural fun.

A host of live Irish music and dancing, face painting, and children’s stalls will take place at the Raddison Hotel from 16:00 until 20:00.
