Every weekend, Express presents a selection of exhibitions, performances, workshops and more to help islanders get their weekly dose of culture.
Here’s this week’s offering…
Inside Out 18

An annual art showcase is returning to Capital House today for it’s third year – inviting islanders to see work created by prisoners from HM La Moye Prison.
ArtHouse Jersey is working alongside the States of Jersey Prison Service to present Inside Out 18, with the prisoners producing 100 to 150 different artworks.
The work ranges from paintings to drawings, poetry, ceramics and woodwork.
Entry to the showcase opens today at 12pm and will stay open from 12pm to 6pm until Sunday 20 September.
Jersey Hospice Care Dragon Boat Festival

A dragon-themed race in aid of Jersey Hospice Care is set to “make waves” at Albert Pier this weekend.
Islanders are invited to pick a quirky name and sign their teams up for the 2026 Dragon Boat Festival.
There will be food, drinks and entertainment available for the spectator and children while teams of eight and sixteen battle in the water.
The first race will kick off at 10am tomorrow (Saturday 10 August) and the grand finale will be at 3pm.
Phantoms of the Popera Tour 2026 – starring G4

This Saturday and Sunday at the Jersey Opera House, the UK’s number one vocal harmony quarter and original X Factor stars, G4 return for the ultimate celebration of musical theatre.
Following the sell-out success of their ‘Phantoms of the Popera’ tour in 2025 they are back again, ready to perform the greatest showstoppers that musical theatre has to offer.
Jonathan Ansell, Michael Conway, Mike Christie and Duncan Sandilands will take to the stage to deliver some uplifting melodies, ballads and climactic anthems.
If you like musical classics, this won’t disappoint! Ranging from Les Mis, Phantom, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Hamilton, Greatest Showman, Book of Mormon, Lion King, We Will Rock You, and The Sound of Music – these smash-hit songs from the West End and Broadway, will be brought to life at the Opera House.
There is also a pre-show Meet & Greet with G4 at 6pm, which includes a welcome drink, plus the opportunity to meet G4, have a photograph and items signed by them.
Tickets can still be purchased at the Opera House website from £35.00, with the total duration of the show being 120 minutes.
Weekender Festival

Weekender is back again for another year, with the Island’s biggest music festival returning to the People’s Park this weekend.
Running today and tomorrow, two standalone events celebrating the music of the 80s and 90s will take place.
There are still final remaining day tickets and weekend passes which can be purchased via the official Weekender Jersey Website.
Parking around the park is heavily restricted. It’s highly recommended to walk or take the local bus.
