Gimme, gimme, gimme

The UK’s top ABBA tribute band is due to perform at at the Royal Yacht Hotel’s Drift nightclub this Saturday 29 March.

With faithful renditions and authentic choreography and costumes, Revival has been re-living the magic of a live ABBA concert since 2007.

Get ready to dust off your dancing shoes, as the performance will feature ABBA’s greatest hits from 1972 to 1981.

The concert is a mixed seating and standing event. Seating is limited and can be pre booked by emailing thedrift@theroyalyacht.com.

DJs at the Lido

If ABBA isn’t quite your thing, then a dedicated local DJ fundraiser at the Lido might be the Saturday night event for you.

New and established local DJs will take to the stage on Saturday 29 March in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.

The ‘Twilight’ line-up includes White Collar DJ winner Finlay McKay, as well as DJ Fonz, Bradley Welsh, Simon Gasston and Warren Le Sueur.

Mum’s go free

Islanders can treat their mums to a discounted day at the zoo this Mother’s Day.

On Sunday 30 March, any mum visiting Durrell can claim free entry – as long as they are accompanied by a child of any age.

Free entry can only be granted at the zoo’s admissions desk on the day.

Standard fares apply for all accompanying guests.

Failure project

Following a critically-acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, BAFTA nominated Yolanda Mercy returns to Jersey with her bold one-woman show, ‘failure project’.

The performance will be staged at the Jersey Arts Centre for a one-night-only performance on Monday 31 March at 19:30.

failure project is a raw, funny and heartfelt exploration of what it truly means to fail, and how we rebuild from it.

Connect at St Clement

Islanders can head to St Clement’s School this Saturday 29 March for a jam-packed day of free activities for local families, and the opportunity to learn more about local support services.

Organised by the Government’s local services team and Connect Me Jersey, families can take part in cycling lessons, a Mother’s Day and Easter craft workshop, storytelling sessions, and a healthy wrap-making station.

The event will also include short talks on mental health and parenting, an opportunity to meet the community policing team, and activities such as graffiti art.

More than 30 organisations, including charities and government services, will be at the event from 10:00 until 14:00.

At the edge of the world

The work of an artist described as Britain’s best seascape painter is available to view at Private & Public gallery from this weekend.

Ramsay Gibb’s fascination with the North Atlantic coastline has taken him to remote shores, with the sea and islands inspiring much of his work.

His latest exhibition, ‘Seas At the Edge of the World’, will take place at the St Helier gallery from Friday 28 March until 25 April. Admission is free of charge.

A preview evening is set to take place this Friday 28 March from 17:00 until 20:00 at the gallery’s Sommerville House space on Phillips Street.

Discovery Day

Jersey Heritage’s first ‘Discovery Day’ of 2025 will take place at St Ouen’s Bay this Saturday 29 March,

Families can take part in a fun-filled day of free nature activities in ‘Discover Landscapes’ at the Frances Le Sueur Centre from 10:00 to 15:00.

Participants will be able to explore natural play in the Jersey National Park, as well as nature walks, foraging, arts and crafts, and a ‘Discovery Day’ trail to follow.
