As the weather starts to improve, it is the perfect time of year to recharge your batteries with music, theatre, and art.
Every week, Express presents a selection of exhibitions, performances, workshops, events and other historic, creative, sporty and delicious content to help islanders get their weekly dose of culture.
Here’s this week’s offering…
Back to the 90s

The inaugural ‘Night Owl’ event is due to take place at the Royal Yacht on Saturday.
Organised by the Day Disco team, the over-30s event will transport islanders back to the 1990s rave scene – with a soundtrack to match.
Headlining the party is Rowetta, known for her work with Happy Mondays. She’ll be joined on the decks by Biko, DJ Hedgie and Paul Mack for a set packed with house and rave anthems.
The event, which will run from 6.30pm to 11.30pm in The Drift, is created for those who still love a proper rave – but don’t fancy an all-nighter.
Attendees can expect themed podium dancers, a packed dancefloor and plenty of nostalgic beats as clubbers relive the golden era of dance music – all wrapped up in time to be in bed by midnight.
Final release tickets are priced at £29.50. More information about the event can be found here.
Silhouette Studios annual showcase

Local dance school Silhouette Studios is presenting its annual showcase this weekend, celebrating the creativity and passion of young dancers at Jersey Opera House.
The first half of the show invites attendees into an enchanting underwater world before rising above the waves to explore life on the surface.
The second act then transports the audience to South America, bursting with vibrant rhythms, colour and energy as dancers bring the spirit of the region to life on stage.
There will be four performances across Saturday and Sunday, taking place each day at 12pm and 6pm.
Tickets start from £21. More information about the show can be found here.
One for the rugby-lovers…

Rugby fans are being invited to head to Jersey Rugby Club this weekend as the Royals take on Brighton II in what promises to be an entertaining afternoon of action.
The match kicks off at 2.30pm on Saturday 7 March, with supporters able to attend and watch the game for free.
For those looking to make more of the occasion, a special three-course pre-match lunch will be served beforehand at the clubhouse.
Islanders can find out more about the event and how to book a table here.
And for the runners…
Runners of all abilities are being invited to take part in the West Park 5km run next week, hosted by Jersey Spartan Athletic Club.
The event takes place on Tuesday 10 March from 6.30pm along the seafront in St Aubin’s Bay.

The course begins at the first lay-by near the wooden shelter, and continues just past Bel Royal before returning to the start.
Runners should arrive early, with check-in open from 6pm.
The event is open to everyone and entry is free, making it a great opportunity for both club runners and non-members to enjoy an evening run along the coast.
Members are asked to bring their club number, while race numbers will be issued to non-members at check-in.
Participants under 15 years old must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the race, although they do not need to take part themselves.
More information about the event can be found here.
