Every weekend, Express presents a selection of exhibitions, performances, workshops, events and other historic, creative and delicious content to help islanders get their weekly dose of culture.

Here’s this week’s offering…

It’s a Knockout!

Local teams are set to battle it out at People’s Park on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September in the annual ‘It’s a Knockout!’ challenge.

As well as watching the participants slip and slide their way round an inflatable obstacles course, attendees can enjoy a family-friendly zone featuring bouncy castles, face painting, carousel rides, mini tractor racing, and a sensory zone.

Food and drink will be available throughout the event, which is open from 10:00 and 18:00 on both days.

All funds raised will be donated to the Neonatal Unit at the General Hospital.

La Folle d’Avoût, better known as the Corn Riots Festival, returns to the Royal Square for a third year this weekend.
