A striking new solo exhibition based on the story of a miniature Victorian-style dollhouse painstakingly constructed, decorated, and ultimately destroyed by fire is on display this summer.
Every week, Express presents a selection of exhibitions, performances, workshops, events and other historic, creative and delicious content to help islanders get their weekly dose of culture.
Here’s this week’s offering…
Fallowfield
The latest ArtHouse Jersey exhibition has opened at Capital House.
Acclaimed local artist Clare Ormsby is behind the striking new solo exhibition ‘Fallowfield’, which is based on the story of a miniature Victorian-style dollhouse painstakingly constructed, decorated, and ultimately destroyed by fire.
The gallery has been filled with immersive installations using salvaged materials, photography, sculpture and film.
Attendees are invited to step inside, open drawers, listen and touch.
Islanders can experience ‘Fallowfield’ every Tuesday to Sunday 12:00 to 18:00 until Sunday 24 August.
More information can be found here.
