Beachgoers are being urged to avoid using inflatables after lifeguards rescued multiple people blown out to sea yesterday.
In a social media post, RNLI Jersey warned that more strong offshore winds are forecast at both St Brelade’s Bay and St Ouen’s Bay.
As a result, orange “no inflatables” windsocks will be displayed at both beaches.
“The safety advice is to leave the inflatable unicorns in the pool,” the charity said.
Winds are forecast to reach Force 5 over the weekend, and up to Force 6 on Monday.
