The team of 12, led by Consultant Cardiologist Dr Andrew Mitchell, are one of four in the running for Cardiology Team of the Year.
Dr Mitchell said: “It is such a great honour for the Jersey team to have been picked for the finals. We have an amazing, dedicated group of cardiac nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, secretaries and physiologists who work brilliantly together to provide, what we think is, the best possible level of care for Islanders.”
There have been over 300 entries in this year’s BMJ Awards – the UK’s premier medical awards that recognise and celebrate the inspirational work done by doctors and their teams.
The winners will be announced at a gala event in London in May.
