Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney observed the silence at 11:00, with politicians and senior civil servants lining up outside main government buildings.
An instruction for all flags to remain at full-mast was issued ahead of the commemoration.
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year, a vigil took place in the Royal Square in Jersey, attended by hundreds of islanders.

One year on, the island will mark the anniversary not only through a minute’s silence but a special commemorative concert at the Town Church.
Free to attend, the concert will start at 18:00 and will involve both local and Ukrainian music.
It will also involve a recorded message from the Mayor of Mykolaiv, Olesandr Syenkevych, whose town was twinned with the Parish of St. Helier this week following a unanimous Parish Assembly vote.
