A charity cabaret evening is set to take place tonight in memory of an islander who died by suicide at the age of 14.
The Summer Daze Cabaret will take place on Wednesday 27 August at the Best Western Royal Hotel in support of Kezia’s Fund.
The event has been organised by 17-year-old Ella du Feu in memory of her close friend Kezia Mason, who took her own life in March 2022.
Ella, who last year reached the semi-finals of a UK-wide musical theatre singing competition, will perform at the event alongside other local performers.
Proceeds will go directly to Kezia’s Fund, which distributes grants to organisations working to help support those experiencing mental-health challenges.
