Alternatively, participants can draw a picture of a knight and submit a photo.
The competition was launched on Wednesday 24 June to celebrate St John’s Day, and aims to raise awareness of the important work the charity does.
The competition theme represents the heritage of St John Ambulance, where the first Knights of St John set up a hospital in Jerusalem in the Middle Ages.
CEO of St John Ambulance, Barry Marsden, said that the charity has been “very active” throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We made our HQ, ambulances and unpaid volunteers readily available to the ambulance service at the outset of the pandemic to create a second site,” he said.
“We have jointly crewed front line ambulances, assisted health care professionals to perform swab testing, trained health care staff in the correct way of using PPE so that their own trainers could be redeployed to do more acute work and have been helping more recently with the antibody testing of key workers.”
The competition prizes, which include five annual family memberships to Durrell Wildlife Conversation Trust and five animal adoptions, are sponsored by Oak.

Managing director of Oak, Nicola Gott, said: “This is a small token of our thanks for all that St John Ambulance continues to do, especially during the unusual circumstances we all find ourselves in.
“We cannot wait to see your fancy dress and drawing entries.”
The competition closes at 18:00 on Sunday 12 July. Further information and entry details are available on the St John Ambulance Jersey website.
