Nautical authority ‘Ships Monthly’ magazine has named the vessel ‘Ship of the Month’ in its November issue.

Despite some well-documented teething problems when the Liberation was first introduced on the busy UK route in 2015, improvements have since been made.

A Condor Ferries spokesperson put the title down to the hard work of staff since the Liberation was brought into service.

“We are pleased, naturally, that the tremendous efforts of our teams across the company – in operations, engineering, on board and in our ports, not just for Condor Liberation but across the fleet – have been recognised in this way,” they said.

The spokesperson added that hard work continues with Condor Ferries focusing on serving its Channel Island customers.

“For us, the key focus is on continuing to keep the Channel Islands connected and supplied through the three strands of our business – islander travel, the inbound visitor market and years round essential freight services.”
