After previously falling into disrepair, 12 Belmont Road in St Helier has been reinstated to its original form as a family home over the past year.

Alan Blair, HM Receiver General and administrator of Crown property in Jersey, said that the Grade Three listed building dates back to the 1840s.

He said: “We are in the process of compiling the ‘before and after’ photo to show the King on his forthcoming visit.

“We are also bringing together some historic items such as old newspapers uncovered during the restoration.”

The four- to five-bedroom townhouse, spanning 2,400 square feet, will be available for rent from 1 August.

It also has four bathrooms, three reception rooms, a kitchen, a separate utility room and a private patio courtyard.

The Receiver General aims to offer the property at an affordable rate, with priority given to key workers.

He said: “We envisage that the property would be in the affordable rental bracket, but we are in the process of assessing the property to gauge a fair market value.”

Interested parties can register for tenancy by emailing Alan Blair at hmreceivergeneral@gov.je.
