A 69-year-old cyclist has suffered “serious” leg injuries after a collision with a van at a St Peter crossroads yesterday morning.

Police said the crash, which involved a white Renault van driven by a 64-year-old man, happened at around 9.20am where La Neuve Route and Les Routeurs meet La Grande Route des Augerez.

The cyclist was described as riding a copper-coloured road bike.

Emergency services attended the scene and the cyclist – who was riding a “copper-coloured road bike” – was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Police said his injuries were “serious but not currently deemed to be life threatening”.
