TTS are planning on resurfacing the hill from St Martin into Gorey and putting in diversions taking drivers via Hougue Bie or St Catherine’s, which would mean long diversions for four weeks.

That resurfacing work was meant to start today, but has been put back a week after the landslide that brought down part of a property by Jeffrey’s Leap on the coastroad, which is still closed for safety reasons.

The work will now start next Monday – when it does, the road will be closed from on weekdays between 8.15 am to 6 pm.

It is estimated that the roadworks will be completed by 8 February.
