A brand-new indoor padel tennis facility is set to officially open next week – and a local children’s charity will benefit from the sporting action.
A charity padel day on Saturday 28 June will see Jersey’s new indoor courts at Les Ormes used for the first time while raising funds for Jersey Child Care Trust.
Islanders of all padel abilities will be able to book a court throughout the day, with all proceeds going to supportig children and families in Jersey living in poverty.
The charity’s annual raffle tickets will also be on sale at the event with a range of prizes to be won.
Rackets will be available to hire for free for all participants.

JCCT executive director Fiona Vacher said: “With 100% of all padel court bookings being donated to Jersey Child Care Trust, we will be able to give more children access to our vital services and support.
“We are thrilled to have been chosen as the children’s charity to benefit from this day.
“Our volunteers will be on hand to help players get the most out of their booking.”
