Islanders will be able to fly direct to Munich from Jersey this summer thanks to flights operated by an airline owned by a German carrier.
Air Dolomiti, which is part of the Germany-based Lufthansa group, will operate flights to the Bavarian capital on Saturdays from 4 May until 3 October 2026.
Additional Wednesday services will also be operated between 22 July and 2 September 2026.
Ports of Jersey head of connectivity Paul Holley said: “We’re excited to welcome back Lufthansa’s Munich service for 2026 which will increase to up to two direct flights per week and offer onward connections through Lufthansa’s extensive network.
“The Munich service is complemented by Eurowings’ weekly flights between Dusseldorf and Jersey, returning from 16 May, which also provides convenient connections to destinations throughout Europe.
“As well as direct European connectivity and increased onward travel options for islanders, these services strengthen tourism links, enabling visitors from key European markets to enjoy our beautiful island this summer.”
The announcement comes not long after the news that direct flights to Amsterdam will return this April, operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
